I made a payment Friday and my service still not on. I have small kids. I trying calling them well apparently they closed on the weekend but can still receive a payment from you. I try calling again emailing still no luck. They don’t even have a standby person just for situations like this.. this is so unfair. We and my family are in the dark but I have made a payment. I have my receipts. And another thing I’m enrolled into text alerts and Payless power are deducting money from my account but my lights not on yet???????? this so wrong and frustrating. I have to throw out food just because of this lying thief company

Response: We appreciate you for contacting us about this issue, Brianna. Your comments state that you made a payment on Friday, but your lights were not reconnected and there was no person for you to speak to because Payless Power is closed on Saturday and Sunday. You also are upset because money was deducted from your account when the lights were off. Losing power can be incredibly frustrating so its understandable that you are angry. A review of your account does not show that a payment was posted Friday. We did receive payment on Saturday night, and we received confirmation that power was restored Sunday. We will be calling Oncor to see when power was actually restored. If there was a delay due to a technical issue, then we will reach out to you to discuss a credit. In addition, if you have receipts for a cash payment on Friday, please provide it to the supervisor who will be contacting you. If there was a delay with the payment posting, we will offer an additional credit. Please note that we do offer email support on Saturday and Sunday. You can reach us via email at www.paylesspower.com or through you My Account Portal. Finally, Payless Power bills 2 days in arrears so if a customer who is disconnect may still receive charges while the account is disconnected since those charges would be from two days prior. The service date is specified on your daily invoice, and you can also review this online. 888 963 9363 Published on January 24, 2025
I wish I could give this company zero stars! I do not have this company as my utility provider, nor do I plan to ever use them! This company withdrew money from my account and they refuse to let me talk to a supervisor or management when I call. Customer service is horrible!

Response: Hi April, and thank you for reaching out to us about this vital issue. We know there's major cause for concerns when it comes to unauthorized charges to your card, especially if you are not a customer with us. Unfortunately, since you do not have a Payless Power account, the only action that can be done is for you to report the fraudulent charges to both your bank and the authorities. If you are in a DESPERATE situation go with this company and then SWITCH at your EARLIEST convenience. Do not get comfortable with this stepping stone company bc it will cost you in the long run. I’ve been a customer for 2 years bc I felt it was convenient at the time & continued to settle. They offer far less than they originally did 2 yrs ago & now only offer prepaid. There’s a bug on their website so they don’t even allow you to see your most recent statements. I just spoke to 3 people in 1 hour & even the supervisor told me there’s no difference in the 12 mo. contract than the month to month outside the early termination fee. This company doesn’t care about retention bc they take advantage of desperate customers. Learn how electricity costs & pricing work. There’s so many hidden fees that providers are vague & secretive about. Lots of agents don’t even understand it themselves but will try to convince you to lock in to a pointless contract to distract you from their ignorance. You & your money is valuable. Remember that.

We appreciate your two years of service with Payless Power, and we would be happy to assist you with any questions or concerns you may have. In the meantime, you can request them via a live agent at 1-888-963-9363 We also would like to advise that the Month-to-month prepaid plan is a non-fixed, variable rate plan, while any 12-month renewal option is a fixed rate, and is not at risk of fluctuating. Lastly, the Payment Processing Fee and the Reconnection Fee are disclosed to customers upon enrollment, available under your terms of service, displayed on the payment processing screen on the portal, and even sent as messages to our customers via the selected notification channel should customers be at risk of disconnection. If you have any further questions or concerns, please contact us 1-888-963-9363 , and thank you again for being a Payless Power customer. Published on January 17, 2025
